We work most often with small and mid-sized companies in Kuala Lumpur and the wider Klang Valley that are in a period of growth — perhaps hiring their first few full-time staff, or scaling from a handful of people to a team of 20 or 30. Industry varies: we have worked with professional services firms, technology companies, and retail operations. What they tend to share is that their people processes have been managed informally and they want to make them more deliberate.

We start with a short discovery conversation — usually 30 to 45 minutes — where you describe what your team looks like and where the friction tends to appear. From there we propose the engagement that fits best and share a clear scope before any work begins. There is no pressure to proceed, and we are happy to answer questions before you decide.

Both approaches work for us. For shorter engagements we often conduct conversations over video call and request any relevant documents or process notes electronically. For the People Operations Advisory, we usually arrange at least one in-person session to observe team dynamics directly. We agree the working arrangement with you at the start based on what makes sense for your team.

We keep our intake light. Typically we ask for a brief overview of your team structure, the size of your team, and any documents you already have — for example, an onboarding email, a schedule template, or a communication policy. If nothing is written down yet, that is perfectly fine. Part of our work is helping you capture what currently exists only in people's heads.

Fees are fixed for each engagement and quoted upfront. For the People Process Review and Onboarding Design Programme, full payment is made at the start. For the People Operations Advisory, we typically split the fee across the three-month period. All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit and invoiced formally. We do not charge for the initial discovery conversation.

We treat everything shared with us as strictly confidential. Before work begins we sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement, and we do not discuss client details with third parties. Deliverables are shared only with the contacts you designate, and we do not retain your documents or staff data after the engagement concludes.
